Running Back Bernard Pierce Cut by Ravens Following DUI Charge

NFL running back Bernard Pierce was cut by the Baltimore Ravens following his DUI charge yesterday. Pierce was pulled over for going 55 mph in a 30 mph zone when the officer noticed an odor of alcohol, dilated pupils and slurred speech. According to the statement released, Pierce asked that the charge be “kept off the books” predicting (correctly) that he would be cut if the team found out. Pierce is being charged with DUI, exceeding a maximum speed, and other related charges.
