A New Jersey resident is being charged with drunken driving and other offenses after allegedly pouring water onto a freezing roadway to try and fool policemen into thinking ice was the cause of his car accident. According to reports the man and his friend poured 5-gallon buckets of water onto the roadway causing it to ice over, hoping policeman would cite that as the cause of his crash. The man’s plan was foiled due to the fact that he wasn’t wearing a shirt despite the negative 15 degree wind chill, and that police could see skid marks under the ice. When confronted by police the man confessed to planning the frozen roadway.
