A Washington County, Md. man has been charged with DUI and a variety of other charges after allegedly crashing into two utility poles and leading police on a high speed chase down Eastern Boulevard. According to police the man, Benjamin Whitmore a former firefighter, hit two utility poles in his Kia Optima before refusing to stop for police. During the chase Whitmore allegedly traveled over 90 mph despite the fact that there were two other people in his car. He is being charged with DUI, fleeing and eluding in addition to other charges.
